Advon Corporation is proud to announce its selection by NASA for a high-impact redevelopment project at the Stennis Space Center in Mississippi. This ambitious undertaking at Building 1100—a massive 220,000-square-foot facility—marks a significant milestone in modernizing one of NASA’s critical infrastructure hubs.

Strategic Demolition & Architectural Transformation

The project centers on a bold structural reconfiguration. Advon will execute the complete demolition of the facility’s center portion and west wing, followed by the selective demolition and comprehensive renovation of the south wing’s first floor. To enhance the building’s footprint and flow, our team will enclose and expand the existing south wing breezeway and construct precast structural concrete staircase additions for both the north and south wings.

Advanced Systems & Infrastructure

Beyond the structural changes, Advon is delivering turnkey mechanical and electrical upgrades designed for long-term efficiency and independence:

• Mechanical: Installation of a sophisticated HVAC network and new chillers, enabling the remodeled north and south wings to operate as fully standalone environments.
• Electrical: Deployment of new electrical services, including an additional transformer, backup generators, and transfer switches to ensure mission-critical power resilience.

Sustainability & Site Revitalization

A key highlight of this contract is the commitment to environmental stewardship and personnel well-being. Once tenants are relocated, the center wing will be cleared to make way for a sprawling new green space.

The scope extends to the removal of three additional structures and the conversion of existing parking lots into a vibrant campus park. This revitalized outdoor area will feature picnic zones and dedicated food truck connections, creating a modern, community-focused landscape for the Stennis Space Center workforce.
