ADVON was entrusted with Phase 2 of this critical modernization effort, reinforcing the structures that house the future of deep-space exploration.

Comprehensive Building Envelope Modernization: This project involved a massive logistical and technical undertaking: the full-scale removal and replacement of roofing systems across four primary buildings, totaling 115,000 square feet of new infrastructure.

Technical Scope & Systems Integration:

• Standing Seam Metal Roofing: Installation of a premium, high-wind-rated standing seam metal roof system, engineered for longevity and superior protection against the corrosive maritime environment.
• Integrated HVAC Upgrades: Deployment of several new high-capacity HVAC exhaust fans and custom hoods, ensuring optimal climate control and ventilation for the sensitive fabrication work occurring below.
• Lightning Protection Systems (LPS): A mission-critical feature in “Lightning Alley,” ADVON performed the complete removal and certified replacement of the lightning protection systems on all four buildings to safeguard personnel and NASA flight hardware.
• Fall Protection & Safety: Installation of a new, state-of-the-art permanent fall protection system, ensuring that future maintenance operations meet and exceed the highest OSHA and NASA safety standards.

Protecting the Fabrication Pipeline: Executing a 115,000-square-foot replacement over active fabrication areas required meticulous coordination and weather-tight execution.
